XTech Venue System
One system for running a Second Life venue: tip jars that log your staff in and split tips on the spot, a web dashboard for events, staff and money, stream control that follows whoever is on the decks, fundraiser jars, and an optional bot that delivers group notices and reminders for you.
In-World
Set up your venue server, pair tip jars and donation jars, and control the parcel stream — including on group-deeded land.
Web Dashboard
Every page of the control panel explained: venue settings, staff, events, fundraisers, tips, and bots.
Notice Bot
Run your own bot in Docker on Linux or Windows. Group notices, staff reminders, invites and auto-greet.
How the pieces fit together
The system has three layers, and you only need the first one to get started:
| In-world | An XTech Server object rezzed at your venue is the brain. Tip jars, donation jars and stream swappers are simple satellites that pair to it. The server talks to the web securely on your behalf — the jars never do. |
|---|---|
| Web dashboard | Your control panel. Configure the venue, manage staff and jobs, schedule events, review tips, run fundraisers. Staff get their own login to manage their streams and jar settings. |
| Notice bot (optional) | A Second Life bot account you run in Docker. It sends scheduled event notices to your groups, IMs reminders to your DJs and hosts, handles group invites and greets arrivals. Managed entirely from the dashboard. |
Quick start
- New to the system? Rez the XTech Venue Setup prim first. It asks one question: will this account own and manage the venue on the web? If yes, carry on to step 2. If the venue is managed by someone else (say, the hardware lives on a club account), the prim walks you through the handover — see In-World → Setup.
- Rez the XTech Server at your venue. Follow the dialogs — it will find your venue or create a new one from the parcel, then IM you a one-time web link.
- Finish setup on the web. The link opens your venue page: set a username and password, your default stream, and your tip split.
- Pair your tip jars. Rez a jar near the server and touch it — done. Staff can now touch to log in, and tips split and log automatically.
- Grow from there. Add staff and jobs, schedule events, enable donation jars, or connect a notice bot.
